Are you interested in starting your own business, but don’t know where to start?  There are so many aspects you have to consider.  Do you have a business plan?  Have you registered with state or local governments?  Do you have a marketing plan?

87% of small businesses fail in their first year because of poor planning.  64% of businesses with a business plan will see growth.

The Kilgore College Small Business Development Center will offer an eight-part course,

“How to Start and Operate a Business in East Texas.”

  • The Longview course will be offered 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings from Feb. 28 through April 25 at Kilgore College—Longview, Hendrix Building, Room 107, at 300 S. High St.
  • The Marshall class will be offered 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings from Feb. 26 through April 23 at the Marshall Center for Applied Technology, at 2660 E. End Blvd. South.
  • The Gilmer class also will be offered 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings from Feb. 26 through April 23 at the ETEX Telephone Co-op, at 1013 Texas 155 North.

Tuition for the course is $119, which includes an entrepreneurial startup guide and all course materials. Seating is limited, and early registration is recommended.
